Traditional Tales
28th Jan 2026
Primary 3 have had a wonderful time exploring Traditional Tales as part of their Literacy learning. The children really enjoyed bringing stories to life through drama activities, especially hot seating, where they took on the role of different characters and answered questions in character. They also loved making and using their own puppets, which helped them retell stories and explore characters in a fun and creative way.
Creativity continued through art, with the children painting scenes from their favourite traditional tales, producing some fantastic and imaginative artwork. In writing, the children worked hard to create alternative endings to well-known stories, showing great creativity and storytelling skills.
The children also enjoyed listening to a wide range of traditional tales, sharing their thoughts and favourite parts with their classmates.
