Slieve Gullion Dolls' House Project
28th Apr 2026
Here are some pictures from our recent Dolls House Project. The children used clay to carefully model traditional house fronts from the past, paying attention to shapes and details. Once dry, the models were painted using acrylic paints and finished with gloss to add colour and shine. As part of the project, we also explored objects that would have been commonly found in homes long ago. The children enjoyed learning about these items and used watercolours to recreate pictures of them, practising careful observation and painting skills. This project has supported creativity and an early understanding of how homes and everyday objects have changed over time.
