P5/6 Science experiment
11th Nov 2025
As part of our World Around Us topic on the GAA, primary 5/6 explored how physical activity impacts the body by conducting a science experiment. Pupils investigated how different types of exercise affect heart rate. The children completed a series of timed physical activities, resting for two minutes between each one. After each activity, they measured their pulse to determine which exercise caused the highest and lowest heart rates and discussed the reasons behind these differences.
