🍂P2a Autumn Sense Walk 🍂

7th Oct 2025

This week, our P2a class stepped into the outdoor classroom for a special Autumnal Sense Walk, and what a beautiful experience it was! With our senses switched on and curiosity leading the way, we wandered through nature to discover the first signs of Autumn.

We noticed the crunch of leaves underfoot, the cool breeze on our cheeks, and the changing colours all around us—from golden yellows to fiery reds. Some of us spotted acorns, berries, and even a few early mushrooms tucked under the trees. The air smelled earthy and fresh, and we listened carefully to the rustling leaves and distant bird calls.

As we walked, we gathered ideas and inspiration for our very own Autumn poems. We talked about how Autumn feels, looks, sounds, and even tastes. The walk helped us slow down, observe, and appreciate the seasonal changes happening all around us.

We can’t wait to share our poems soon—watch this space for some wonderful words from our young writers!
