This week P2 explored how labels and captions help us understand information more clearly. We learned that :
- Labels give names to objects or parts of a picture.
- Captions give extra information to explain what is happening in a picture.
The children had fun walking around the school looking for labels and explaining how they help us day to day. They then created there own monster and added labels to it. We then captured a picture of our outdoor garden area were the children all took a moment to explore nature and then wrote a caption to describe the scene.
By practising these skills, we are becoming better readers and writers because we can find, use and share information more effectively.
