Inspiration in Miniature: P4’s Heritage Adventure

25th Jan 2026

Our Primary 4 pupils enjoyed a wonderful visit to Doyle’s Pub last Friday, where they had the chance to step back in time and explore the beautifully crafted Slieve Gullion Doll’s House. Created by local man John Graham in the early 1900s, this intricate miniature home offers a fascinating glimpse into the past and the traditions of our community. The children were captivated by the tiny details and the stories behind the house, sparking curiosity, conversation and plenty of imaginative thinking. This unique piece of local heritage will now become the creative stimulus for our art project this term.  A huge thank you to Liz from Doyle’s Pub for welcoming us and helping bring local history to life for our pupils.
