Holy Communion 14/05/22

15th May 2022

Last week, all of the Primary 4's were putting the final touches together in preparation for their first Holy Communion. They were revising their prayers, learning their songs and practising their routines. The excitement and nerves were building all week. However, all the children's hard work paid off as they helped create a day to remember on a wonderfully, sunny May morning. Fr Dunne, staff and parents were very impressed with the children's confidence, effort and beautiful singing throughout the mass. We would like to thank the children, Fr Dunne, school staff, Donna Crimmins, parent and grandparent helpers on the day, parents/guardians and anyone else who helped create such a memorable occasion.

We also want to give a very special mention and thank you to Miss Frame. This was Miss Frame's last ever Holy Communion as a teacher in St Malachy's. She has worked tirelessly and selflessly for many years (We'll not say how many!) preparing the children of Camlough, and beyond, for their First Penance and Holy Communion. Miss Frame, each year, without fail manages to create a truly memorable moment in each of the children’s lives through the wonderfully rehearsed songs and carefully chosen prayers. Thank you, Miss Frame for all your hard work and years of service!
