Fun with Shapes and Tasty Treats
In February, we had lots of fun learning about shapes as well as different fruits and vegetables. We practised recognising and naming squares, rectangles, circles and triangles, and we even went on a shape walk around the school to spot these shapes in our environment. As part of our learning, we celebrated Saint Brigid by making beautiful crosses and learning about her story. We also enjoyed baking delicious buns and pancakes together, carefully following the steps and measuring our ingredients. The children did a wonderful job participating in Show and Tell, confidently telling us facts about their fruit and vegetables and we got to taste them at snack time.
It was a very busy and exciting month filled with hands-on activities and lots of new words to learn!
