This week in Numeracy our P4 pupils have been investigating 3D models of interlocking cubes. Using hands-on learning, they were challenged to count the number of faces on these models — a fun and engaging way to develop spatial awareness and reasoning skills.
Through building and examining their own cube structures, children are learning to:
- Visualise hidden faces;
- Understand how shapes connect;
- Apply logical thinking to solve problems.
It’s been fantastic to see their enthusiasm and teamwork as they explore geometry in a practical and meaningful way!
