Yesterday’s Confirmation Ceremony in St Malachy’s Church, Camlough was a truly special occasion, blessed with beautiful sunshine that mirrored the joy of the day. The pupils and their families arrived in wonderful style, with impressive fashion on display that added to the sense of celebration and excitement. However, amid the bright weather and elegant outfits, the true focus of the day was never lost. Each pupil played an important role in delivering a fantastic ceremony, having learned their lines, songs and actions impeccably, and approaching the sacrament with confidence and reverence as they prepared to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and confirm their baptismal promises for themselves.
Heartfelt thanks are extended to all the staff of St Malachy’s, Canon Toner, Father Anthony, Deacon Philip, Catherine the sacristan, and to Catriona and Ciaran for providing such beautiful music. Sincere appreciation also goes to all the parents and families for their support in preparing the children for Confirmation. A very special word of thanks goes to the boys and girls themselves, who worked extremely hard over the past few months and made this a truly memorable and faith-filled occasion.
