The P5, P6 and P7 pupils at St. Malachy's would like to extend a sincere thank you to Fiona for taking the time to visit the school and deliver such an informative and engaging session on how local and national government works. Fiona discussed the importance of laws, how new laws are created, and the role of local government and MLAs within our communities. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions and take part in discussion, showing great enthusiasm and interest throughout. Fiona commented on how impressed she was with the pupils’ engagement and suggested there may well be a few future politicians within the school. It was a highly valuable and thought-provoking visit that the children gained a great deal from.
