This week in P2a we learned all about St Brigid and how she showed kindness and generosity to everyone.
We talked about how helping others and sharing are important values we can practise every day.
A big thank you to Mrs Reel, who helped us make our very own St Brigid’s crosses.
We listened carefully as we learned why the crosses are made and what they symbolise.
Our crosses were kindly blessed by Canon Brown, which made the experience even more special.
During play-based learning, we explored rushes, cutting and sticking to make more crosses.
Each child was very proud to take their St Brigid’s art and cross home to share with their family.
